It’s a seemingly impossible combination of airy pop, orchestral violins and heart-full rock from this Toronto musician who has over fourteen years of classical piano and violin training already under her belt. Rather than laying her music education aside, Li fully incorporates these classical styles into her avant-rock chorus and lullaby-esque verses. Talking more about the context within this emotive ballad, Li explains that "This song is about anxiety and the feeling of desperation and sense of unreality that can happen when everything gets to be too overwhelming. The dynamics and dreamy feel of the music reflect the feeling of being dazed and restless. Writing this song was an exercise in vulnerability as a way to combat my shyness and to better connect with others.
